Crazy Lunch

Yesterday was such a bad day for me. I got nagged by my boss. He was so pissed like hell and I was like a chick wanting to go back inside my shell. Geez. But I'm trying to forget that because I don't want to feel awkward once I go back to work.

Anyway, I decided to go in the grocery. I didn't know what to buy but I had things in mind. I was thinking what to prepare for lunch. I was uber hungry and wanted to eat something new. Anyway, Here's what I came up with:

Green Mango Salad in Nouc Mam Cham dipping fish sauce

(Nouc Mam Cham fish sauce)
2 tbsp sugar

1/2 cup water

3 tbsp vinegar
3 tbsp fish sauce
1 clove garlic
, sliced
2 small green sword chilis
, sliced
1/2 slice lemon juice


(Green Mango Salad)
1 green mango, shaved

1 carrot, shaved

6 pcs tiger prawns

mint

basil

dill
parsley

I saw this on TV, watching Masterchef Australia. It's a Vietnamese version of the green mango salad. It's very easy to make anyway :p


Then, for the main entree, I tried something new. This is an original. A mixture of of different kinds of seared tuna.

Seared Black Tuna in citrus ginger soy sauce

2 pcs sliced Tuna
1/2 sliced lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
10 gms black pepper, crushed
1 tbsp ginger, minced
1 tbsp sliced scallions
2 tbsp soy sauce


Again, I've never tried this dish before. I don't even know what taste to expect so I'd know I got the right taste. All I know is that my friend and I finished all these ion less than 30 mins. Not because we were really hungry, but because we know it tasted amazing!


I'm seriously considering being a chef someday and open up my own mini resto. Watcha think? haha!!
